Participate in Shadow Day (update: monthly sign-ups available)
The All-American Boys Chorus (AABC) will be holding its next Shadow Day March 23rd, 8:30AM – 1:00PM at the Orange County Fairground’s Headquarters in Costa Mesa. This free event is a great opportunity for boys interested in joining the chorus ages 8, 9, and 10.
The Shadow Day gives families and interested participants the opportunity to meet the artistic director Wesley Martin, and involved staff and parents of the AABC. The boys will be literally “shadowing” members of the Chorus in an actual rehearsal. They will also will have a chance to sing and participate in activities and music classes.
The AABC is a non-profit organization giving young boys the gift of music through their unique program. They provide instruction of vocal techniques, music reading, music theory, and music history. During the learning process, the chorus also performs throughout Orange County area. As the boys become more skilled and educated, they advance to perform nationally and internationally.
Thank you to Huey Yann Ooi for notifying me of this upcoming special event. Huey Yann’s son, Ryan is currently a chorus member in addition to studying piano with The Music Abode instructor Caty Bishop. Huey Yann will be a volunteer at this year’s Shadow Day.
