Teacher Feature: Beverly Bremers Vocal Instructor
When Beverly started teaching with The Music Abode, we knew she would be a great addition to our teaching team, but we didn’t realize how much she would inspire. After just a short time, Beverly’s students have reported being able to expand their voice and create sounds they didn’t know they had the strength to deliver. This feedback comes from both beginner and intermediate students!
Over the past 30 years, in addition to teaching private lessons, Beverly also currently teaches Vocal Performance, Voice-over, and Musical Theatre at the Laguna Woods Performers Academy. She is also an instructor at the Orange County School of the Arts. Her vast teaching history includes (and is not limited to) Irvine Center Theatre, Playbill Theatre, Irvine Valley College, Saddleback College, and UCSD.
Her performance career includes numerous theater productions, concerts, television, and voiceover for TV and radio. Some of her notable appearances include “Hair” and “The Me Nobody Knows” on Broadway, and “The Rocky Horror Show” at the Roxy in LA. She also received a platinum record for writing “Mousercise” for Disney as seen on the Disney Channel. Beverly has also put together scores for 4 stage musicals produced in LA and San Diego. Beverly’s award winning original songs can be found on her website www.beverlybremers.com and also can be previewed at the following links:
The countless performances and awards Beverly has received through the years (too many to list here) only exemplify the level of commitment and passion she has for her craft. Her energy is contagious and spreads enthusiasm for music with all of her students. Overall, she “believes the key to doing anything well is learning the basic techniques and structure of a craft and then applying ‘practice makes perfect’ and ‘be prepared’ adages.”
