Teacher Feature: Mark Hood – Piano, Voice, Guitar Instructor
The Music Abode was established to give students personalized lesson plans by providing them with instructors educated in all genres and styles of music with open philosophies of teaching. Our piano, vocal, and guitar instructor, Mark Hood, is an exact fit for this description. With over 15 years of teaching experience, Mark has the special ability to engage all of his students with his eclectic music experience and turns practicing into playing!
Mark received his Associate in Arts in Music at Fullerton College and his Bachelor of Arts in Music and Songwriting from the Berklee School of Music. He has a large collection of production and composition pieces under his belt. Most recently writing and producing the song “We’ll Abide”, for Hannah Danielson Doria, now available on iTunes While still involved in the music production industry, he is also now teaching full time and only has a few more openings for any new prospective students.
Mark has the most student referrals out of all our teachers. This exemplifies his commitment toward his students and the growth they show under his instruction. Moreover, his students always show a natural understanding and enjoyment for their performance pieces during our recitals.
Promoting the belief: “we should value character above talent and relationships above success,” it is clear why Mark is such a successful instructor, as this type of thinking lends itself to successful growth.
Thank you Mark for sharing your gift of music with The Music Abode students!
