Teacher Feature: Salli Melilli, Piano and Vocal Instructor
Salli’s positivity and joy for teaching music is transparent when not only speaking about music, but also when her students excite over their upcoming lessons!
Salli has spent her life with music and her career sharing it with others. In addition to teaching privately, she has performed and taught performance, has been an adjunct professor of music in voice, piano and for choral lab. More specifically for private piano lessons, she teaches all methods: Alfred, Faber, Bastien, Thompson, Hanon, and more. She encourages her students to not only learn the classical fundamentals, but to also gain experience improvising to accompany in professional, performance settings. For vocals she has experience teaching classical English/Italian Arias, etc. and contemporary voice technique and style.
Salli has her BA in Music/Vocal Performance from World Evangelism Bible College, Baton Rouge, LA and her Professional Life Coach Certification from Life Breakthrough Coaching Academy, Cary, NC. She has been teaching private piano and vocal lessons for 25 years and a worship leader and choir director for multiple congregations. She also is currently a life coach in leadership, music and worship, and for professional life skills. She is currently working toward her MA in Leadership Studies from Vanguard University.
